i just peeped out Rihanna’s new music video “We Found Love” a few weeks ago, and i have to say i’m in LOVE. i love the whole feel of the video, the edginess, the vibe it gives, that fine British boxer(YUM!) and especially the outfit choices. Rihanna is known for her off the wall clothing choices, but that’s what makes her, her. i just love her wardrobe..ughhh… … anyways, i wanted to point out what specific pieces i loved in the videos. ————————-> the high waisted Levi shorts and boyfriend jeans, the over sized jean jackets and flannels, the high knee socks, the stockings and garter belts, varsity jackets, crochet knitted hats and of course the doc martens and oxfords.

High Waisted Levi Shorts and High Waisted Boyfriend Jeans:
So these originated back in the 80’s & the early 90’s i guess they brought them back. I always loved high waisted shorts and these pretty shnazy. Usually they go above your belly button to create a hour glass silhouette when you wear them. They’re pretty easy to make from your mom’s old “mom” jeans from way back in the day. *laughs*

Over Sized Jean jackets and Flannels:
So the ‘oh i borrowed my boyfriend’s (jacket/shirt) is cute now a days. The whole grungy effortless look mixed in with a few feminine piece is really appealing, idk i think its cute.
Where to Find it:(Flannels) Urban Outfitters, you boyfriend or brother’s closet, American Eagle, Abercrombie, Hollister, 78% of men’s stores.
(Over Sized Jean Jackets): your local thrift shop, Top Shop, Buckle, Macy’s, Dillard’s, ETC
Thigh High Stockings, Knee Socks, Garter Belts:
So about the Stockings and the garter belts, not a lot of people are bold enough to try them. But i think they’re so freaking fem with the high waisted shorts and some boots. *happy panda face* I wore some out the other night and i got looked at like this (O_O) but i liked it ;D

The Varsity Jackets: These will NEVER EVER go out of style(well to me) it’s something about leatherman’s and varsity’s that are so cool. I think it’s because in high school if you played a sport & had one, you were indeed ‘The Shit’.

Doc Martens/Combat boots, Oxfords, & Crochet Hats/Beanies: The London look is seeping in to the states as we speak. Designers are including Jeffrey Campbell even Vans are designing their own type of Oxfords. It’s like an artsy twist to your usual shoe, but they are pretty dope. Doc Martens (Combat Boots) are another story, they just give you a kick ass look especially if you wear them with knee highs or thigh high stockings. And let us not forget about our beanies and crochet hats, such a mandatory accessory for the winter, fall, and early spring time.

and our Handsome male model, Sahid for a photoshoot we’ve been planning for weeks. The concept and storyline of the photoshoot is so surreal that I have to keep it on the “Hush, Hush” til our photographer Theo leaks out the photos this week. I have to say he did a magnificent job directing, face painting, shooting the pictures, and coming up with clever concepts to make this NOT your “average” photoshoot. And we even got to shoot in a abandon mansion, that i highly think that IS indeed haunted. While i styled the girls from make up to from the way they dressed i was on edge in that cold eerie giant abode. From Haunted mansions to fake blood to red old school mustangs to the infamous “NAMEUS” TV head, Sunday was packed with work and cooperation. We even had Banks from the Yachts and Marc, who is designing our spring line, tag along through out the whole day shoot. And the infamous Lute(who’s mixtape we did feature on our site a few times) made an appearance at the Mansion while we were on set. I just have to say the whole day was tiring but exciting….. i do have a little sneak preview photos of everyone behind the scenes working on the first set at the abandon mansion.
